Off the coast of Majorca, this Spanish classic marks the start of the first cycle of the Olympic season. The competition promised to be relatively mild, with light winds, before the breeze kicked in. Two Monegasque athletes are vying for the top spot.

Hard work pays offAfter intense winter preparation marked by rigorous training blocks, Jérémy Moutout gradually revealed his promising potential. He finished 87th in 10 rounds. With a near-perfect score, he even won a heat against a strong field of 174 competitors.

It’s foiling hard

63 kitefoilers representing 25 nations took to the Spanish waters, bringing together the elite of the discipline. Young Monegasque Alexander Ehlen is back with a vengeance. After failing to qualify for the Paris Olympics by just one place, the Yacht Club de Monaco athlete is showing unfailing determination. After 19 races, he finished in 17th place.
