J/80 sailors Enjoy Amazing Week of Sail-Training, Texas-Style!

(Austin, Texas)- North Sails University leader Bill Gladstone led a week-long sail-training program this past week on Lake Travis, with sailing taking place out of Austin Yacht Club. The clinic used the J/80 fleet on Lake Travis, gratefully supplied by the local J/80 owners. The program ended up with fifty-six sailors on fourteen boats with fourteen coaches for five FULL days at Austin YC!

The sailors were treated to an amazing group of knowledgeable coaches that covered the spectrum of racing and coaching experience. Those coaches included several notable luminaries in the sailing word: Chuck Allen, Geoff Becker, Rod Favela, Mark Foster, Andrew Kerr, Drew Mitchell, Nick Turney, Shala Youngerman, Geoff Moore, Tom Babel, Dave Franzel, Dave Reed, and Bill Worsham.  Hmmm, not sure who had more fun in that clinic… a bunch of serious characters coaching.. clearly everyone had fun and learned a lot.  For more information on North Sails University- Bill Gladstone- email- [email protected]/ mobile- 203 464 4525
