UK J/70 Grand Slam Series I Preview – Top British Teams Set for Hamble Showdown

(Hamble, England)- The Royal Thames Yacht Club will be hosting the first of the 2026 U.K. J/70 Grand Slam Series this coming weekend. A stellar turnout of twenty-four teams from across England will ensure very tight competition amongst the top teams.

A number of class veterans will be participating who have National, European, and World experience. Those teams include Martin Dent’s JELVIS, Doug Struth’s DSP, Max Clapp’s JEEPSTER, Patrick Liardet’s COSMIC, Ali Hall’s CALYPSO, Simon Perry’s JIRAFFE, and Fred Salter’s GENIUS.
