J/70 and J/105 Fleets Ready for Sailing World Regatta Marblehead

(Marblehead, MA)- This coming weekend, the trio of yacht clubs along the shores of Marblehead Harbor will be hosting their annual summer sailing festival known as the Sailing World Marblehead Regatta. The three famous clubs hosting the event are Eastern Yacht Club, with the support of Corinthian Yacht Club and Boston Yacht Club. The regatta will feature many one-design classes, including the J/70 and J/105 classes.

J/70 Class
The fleet will feature several of New England’s better J/70 teams, including multiple J/70 Midwinter Series Champion Brian Keane on his famous SAVASANA. He will be joined by Peter Barret’s RESET, Charlie Henry’s OUTLAW, Marc Poirier’s HALF FULL, and Patrick Andreassen & Tim Guy’s JUMPER.

J/105 Class
The perennially strong J/105 class in Marblehead has continued to be one of the top fleets in America. Several veterans will be in the mix this weekend, including Charlie Garrard’s MERLIN, Matt Herbster’s NO QUAETER, Ken Bowden’s KNOTLESS, and Marty Galligan’s ATALANTA.
