J/112E JACK RABBIT Wins Breskens Sailing Weekend

(Breskens, Netherlands)- This past week, the Jachthaven Breskens hosted the very popular end-of-summer sailing season regatta- the Breskens Sailing Weekend. It’s a popular event for a few J/Boats teams in the Netherlands and Benelux. The regatta format is windward-leeward races just offshore of the harbor entrance.

IRC 1 Division
Sailing in this dozen-boat fleet, it was Rutger Krijger’s J/112E JACK RABBIT that handily won the class with 5.5 pts net in their five-race series. It was yet another epic repeat performance like their win in 2025. In addition, Krijer’s JACK RABBIT also won the ORC 1 handicap honors.

ORC 2 Division
In this five-boat fleet, Jan Scholte’s J/99 WARP 5 took the gold medal with 4 pts net in five races! They also took the bronze medal in IRC 2 handicap scoring for the regatta.

CR3-6 Division
Winning this division on a tiebreaker at 7 pts net each was Rene van Quekelberghe’s J/97 JAI HO, which won three of its six races and discarded a 2nd!
