J/70 Middle East Cup Expands Sailing Across the Gulf
(Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates)- The Middle East is rapidly emerging as one of the world’s most exciting sailing destinations. Exceptional sailing conditions, modern marinas, and year-round opportunities create the perfect foundation for a new generation of international regattas.
The TENZOR Middle East Cup is designed to become the region’s flagship J/70 series, connecting Europe, Asia, and the Gulf through a unified championship calendar. We aim to attract the world’s leading sailors, teams, partners, and brands while establishing the Middle East as a permanent destination on the international sailing circuit.

Race Management Highlights
The regatta will be using two of the most advanced systems for race management:
1. MarkSetBot
MarkSetBot’s robotic buoys will be deployed on the course. It makes race management simple, accurate, and sustainable in any conditions. Most importantly, it allows near-instantaneous adjustment of marks for optimal sailing angles on the race course.
2. VAKAROS Atlas 2 RaceSense
For the first time in the Middle East, J/70 racing will use the modern VAKAROS race monitoring system, Atlas 2 RaceSense. It’s the world-leading system, providing online “live” race tracking, automated start-line crossing detection, automatic results calculation, and the highest precision in judging. The system is the “standard” for world-class racing, having run J/70 Worlds, Star Worlds, Star Bacardi Cup, E-Scow Nationals, A-Scow Nationals, M32 Worlds, M32 Europeans, M32 Midwinters, J/70 Midwinters, and so forth- over 90 classes and 200,000+ starts!
