J/99 SELKIES and J/112E HIGH TEA Win Lake Ontario 300 Divisions

(Port Credit, ONT, Canada)- Last weekend, Port Credit Yacht Club hosted its challenging Lake Ontario 300 Race. The race is essentially a large triangle set in western Lake Ontario, starting and finishing off Port Credit, ONT, just south of the cosmopolitan city of Toronto. Here’s how it all went down for J/Teams.

PHRF Singlehanded Division
Winning this seven-boat fleet was Evan Dinsmore’s J/99 SELKIES by a 5-hour margin over a three-day race!

PHRF Doublehanded Division
Winning this four-boat fleet was Ard Van Leeuwen’s J/112E HIGH TEAM, also winning the three-day race by a 5-hour margin!

PHRF Full Crew Division
In this seven-boat fleet, Robert Dewitte’s J/121 VANTAGE managed a fifth place against some of the best offshore racers on Lake Ontario- the winner was Rossi Milev, a J/24 ace sailor and World Champion!

Scotch Bonnet Race PHRF Doublehanded Division
Sailing this four-boat fleet and taking line honors was Jim Oldershaw’s beautifully restored J/120 FREESTYLE. They finished in style, too, taking the silver medal in the Doublehanded Division for their hard-earned efforts!
