In bright sunshine and trade winds blowing over 16 gusting 20 knots the 66 teams took the start of this legendary race around 11 idyllic islands in the Caribbean. A dream backdrop for an intense offshore challenge.<\/div>\n<div aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n<h2><b>Exceptional line-up<\/b><\/h2>\n<div>With over 500 sailors from 38 countries, the RORC Caribbean 600 is a must on any serious sailor\u2019s calendar, as defending champions, seasoned professional crews and ambitious amateurs compete in what is always a tough contest. Headlining the race, the Maxis, high-performance multihulls and cruiser-racers compete on speed and strategy to add their name to the prize list.<\/div>\n<div>In the IRC Super Zero, all eyes were on\u00a0<i>Leopard 3<\/i>, Joost Schuijff\u2019s Farr 100 flying the Yacht Club de Monaco flag.
