Sonderborg Sejlklub Wins Danish J/70 Sailing League Act in Helsingor

(Helsingor, Denmark)- Last weekend, the Helsingør Sejlklub hosted twenty-one sailing club teams from across Denmark for the second act of their season series. Sailing took place off Helsingor, with the HSK RC/ PRO team running a mind-blowing thirty-three races over the two-day weekend! Each team got to complete the full eleven races for the full rotation of all the teams!

In the end, it appears there has been a “changing of the guard” this 2026 sailing season. Winning was the Sonderborg Sejlklub with 26 pts, but only by a 2 pts margin! Behind them, the balance of the podium was determined by a tiebreaker at 28 pts apiece between Bandholm Sejlklub and Kalovig Sejlklub. After the countback process was completed to break the tie, it was Bandholm SK that took the silver medal, while their colleagues at Kalovig SK had to settle for the bronze medal.

The balance of the top five saw a past league champion taking fourth place- KDY with 31 pts. Then, finishing in fifth place was another up and coming team- Kobenhavn Sejlklub.
